Well its been a long time since I have posted. Much has been happening, a lot of 3D scanning; people, teeth, props, and even more people. I’m also in the process of moving studios – same address just three or four times the space. Nearly 110 sq ft. Over the past few months I have been removing stud walls, lots of painting and too much hammering with a rubber mallet on 300 soft floor tiles! …many late nights a few Orange Capri Sun’s later, the studio is ready to move into.
In the next issue of 3DWorld Infinite-Realities will be giving away a realistic triplegangers® capture.
There will be a Subdivision Model based on Scanned/Captured data of a life model. The format will be for Lightwave 9.6 and will contain a realistic head with shaders, textures and morph targets all ready to render out of the box. It will have a complex Node multi-displacement setup with 4 Morph targets and an advanced Simple Skin shader setup.
After 5 days learning Softimage (big thanks to the XSI Jedi Master, Paul Smith www.bustykelp.com) and 5 days learning Arnold. Below are some test results.
Arnold is incredible. It is hands down the fastest and most intuitive rendering program on the market. It puts Vray and Mental Ray to shame.
